Visuals for the exhibition were curated based on these themes of alienation, liminality, and belonging. The images were pulled from our archives to activate memories common among many people, regardless of their physical capabilities or social location. Specific objects and locations are embedded with meaning due to the memories woven around them which can be noted within the interviews. The photographs are dipped in beeswax to activate multiple senses (sight, touch,
smell) and create a hazy, luminous effect reminiscent of the past.
